Brazilian Center for Early Child Development
E-book "The Science of Early Childhood"
Early childhood, spanning from birth to age six, is considered a “window of opportunity,” as it is the period when the human brain develops most rapidly. CPAPI’s first book brings together contributions that explore cutting-edge topics and discussions in the science of this life stage, offering a comprehensive overview of the factors that influence child development—including biological, psychological, social, and environmental aspects.
Throughout the book, scientific evidence highlights the importance of investing in early childhood as a way to promote equal opportunities and lifelong well-being. The work aims to disseminate groundbreaking scientific discoveries to a broad audience, including professionals from various fields, parents, educators, and policymakers.
This is a key resource—available for free—for everyone seeking to turn scientific knowledge into practices that can help ensure a brighter future for the next generations.
